  1. In most cases, investigations conducted under warrants which were illegally obtained negates any evidence gained in those investigations. So, even if someone is as guilty as hell, you can't touch them if the warrants were defective. However, those obtaining warrants illegally can face some unpleasant consequences... which is how it should be.
