  9.  @brockparker8756  Not exactly. You're speaking of businesses being able to pass on higher expenses to customers. Personal income is different. The richest 20% don't pay much tax because they can afford to hire tax lawyers and accountants to avail themselves of all of the loopholes and write-offs Congress writes into tax laws to benefit themselves, their business associates, and their friends. Middle/ working class people can rarely get such tax relief, so they just have to pay.

  18.  @kevinlong4084  You might have been laid off from YOUR job, but there are other jobs open. Take one of those until you get called back. Where I live, supermarkets are hiring, UPS is hiring, FedEx is hiring, Amazon is hiring, construction firms are hiring, etc.. Some people are coming up with their own jobs... like a couple of guys who will go and pick up your pre-ordered groceries and deliver them to your porch for $20.00.... people tip them too. Many people who are laid off say, "There are no jobs" are only looking at their previous line of employment not what's out there for them.

Not nearly as sick and cynical as saying the COVID upsurge is caused by Americans refusing to get vaccinated rather than counting the hundreds of thousands of unvaccinated illegal aliens streaming across our southern border! Not nearly as sick and cynical as calling 1/6 a "violent insurrection" but calling year-long riots with people trying to burn down federal buildings "mostly peaceful protests"! Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerburg have armies of tax lawyers and accountants to make sure THEY don't have to pay much in taxes... or at least in proportion to their income as the average working Joe does. Poor average Joe cant afford tax lawyers. Your Congress, both democrat and republican, wrote in enough loopholes to keep them and their lobbyist friends happy.

And those that do know power needs to be generated don't consider the damage that alternatives cause. Wind turbines chop up tens of thousands of birds and bats each year.
