  13.  @canvascris  If you don't want the "few bad people" to take advantage of the situation and tarnish peaceful protesters, why don't you physically restrain them and take them to the police... and then testify against them in court? Or at least point them out to police and let them arrest the criminals. I've seen it done in other places and those people have my respect. Then your protests can be peaceful and people will respect you for being a responsible citizen. However, I have seen too often, some criminal actors in a "peaceful protest".... and the "peaceful protesters" cheering them on.

  22.  @FinnMcRiangabra  The operative word is PEACEFUL. When windows are smashed, fireworks are set off, structures burned, stores looted, police attacked, projectiles thrown, gunshots fired, roads are blocked, and motorists are attacked, I don't call that peaceful.

By merely uttering those two words, they can subjectively control language while still feeling very virtuous. My friend, hopefully you will someday understand that if ALL speech isn't free, then there is NO free speech. BTW, re-read the First Amendment and I think you will find no exception for any kind of speech. You may hate what someone says, but that gives you no right to silence them. I hate what some people say, but I would never call for them to be silenced. And I agree with you, PEACEFUL protest is a right which I will defend, BUT RIOTS? NEVER!!
