  1. It's not just the ubiquitous messaging they get through social media, it's amplified by the designed removing of coping skills from kids. Kids don't need new programs and groups to protect them as much as they need to develop thicker skins, realistic expectations, and coping skills to temper influences in their lives and protect themselves. Which is the better way of dealing with, say, "mean people"? Modern wisdom says to get rid of "mean people" through government intervention, social programs, and protection groups. Wouldn't it be better to teach people how to deal with "mean people" using their own acquired knowledge, intrapersonal skills development, and interpersonal experiences?
