  1. We have black bears and we have little 70 year old ladies who chase them away from their gardens and trash cans with a broom. However, when a bear wanders into the city, they call out SWAT teams and the National Guard to shoot them.  It seems that the city folk are always afraid that the bear will eat their children. Nobody seems to care about all of the country kids who are eaten by bears every year. ;-)
