@thomridgeway1438 Perhaps that belief is a more recent manefestation of social engineering.
When I read these books, I saw them as warnings of what could happen, rather than explanations of what has been planned.
The fact that I am seeing similarities in real life to what I read, all those years ago, and in fact saw the foundations being laid in the 80s, informs me that it is possible that I was reading the blue prints. However, it had the effect of making me resolutely against it, not accepting of it.
When I talk about rebelling against those dystopic ideologies, with people the age I was when those books were compulsory reading in English literature courses, they call me a conspiracy theorist, as some kind of put down. I simply ask, what is theoretical about the conspiracy?
It is true that most of the great authors, intellectuals and philosophers, from that era were from very well to do, upper middle class and aristocratic families. We can however, see that they were politically rebellious to their class. Intellectuals involved in Liberalism and Democratic Socialism were pretty much of those classes, because working class people seldom had the opportunity to get that kind of education. These political movements are now being demonised by the power structure. Mostly by stooges and shills carrying out what is being labled as Cultural Marxism. Although Marx had nothing to do with it. Liberals do not believe in it and Democratic Socialists used to literally lay down their lives to protect us from it.
Cultural Marxism is nothing to do with traditional liberalism nor Democratic Socialism. Left wing politics, in my day, was all about fighting authodoxies and authoritarianism. Not imposing them. Cultural Marxism is a tool the shadow elite are using to ensure that there is no opposition to their plan, simply by implying that any opposition is leftist and anything leftist is evil.
