  1. We never used to have trigger warnings on books. We had this class that was called literature lessons. In it we discussed the context of the literature or video we were about to read or see. This is vital. Who on earth understands an opera, a Shakespeare play, Chaucer or some philosophical work without a bit of background. Trigger warnings basically tell the reader that this book challenges their narrative. We should have a trigger warning on this regime.
