I was very much of the Voltaireian view of championing GL as a freedom of speach advocate in this matter. PW has, as is often the case, made me have a serious rethink. Whilst I am still happy to see people saying what they want whether I agree or not. Peter has made the point that GL may only have got away with this cos he said something that the BBC deems virtuous. If that is the case, the spotlight is off Mr L. and aimed straight at Aunty.
