We have many of those since the 2015 time frame. Many used Bernie Sanders to gain followings and they realized "I can say anything as long as its pro Bernie and get away with it" Then they began to lie and that became acceptable. Those people divided the country, ultimately doing great harm all in the name of "free speech." They talk about policy where Republicans BASH Democrats. This started in the 90's with Newt Gingrich, an awful human being. But Democrats haven't learned. I almost hated Obama for 'taking the high road.' Fox News, a propaganda channel who lies about everything, have helped the Republicans at the great expense of the country. If you look up the definition of an abuser, nearly all Republicans check all the boxes. The demonization of the other side to gain power, is one of the lowest points /periods in all of American history. (2015-present) They began all this with Sean Hannity and Bill O Reilly in the 1998-2002 time frame. In reality, right wingers have ruined America. If I had the money, I'd leave this country. Not too keen about moving to cold weather, but it's no longer worth it. Any place that thrives on chaos, any group that does, any family that does, is bound for failure. Glenn Greenwald thrives on hate and creating chaos.

But even he admitted to me, "We maybe went too far with the Vietnam protests" when I explained to him this was (close to) the beginning of the cultural divide in America: Leftists wanted out of Vietnam and te Right wanted "to support the soldiers." Right before this, when LBJ gave blacks the right to vote, the racists all left to the Republicans. It was this period, 1965-1972 when the culture wars started. Now the culture wars are tearing the culture apart. All the poverty, most of the crime, the lowest wages, worst healthcare are in Republican states. But they hate the blacks, Mexicans, immigrants more than they want to see their own lives improve. It's pretty crazy. Democrats are partially to blame because they don't point this out forcefully. Republicans offer nothing except to reward the rich & allow the lower class whites an opportunity to express their hate. There is A MAJOR DIFFERENCE in the two parties. Only dishonest leftists use the argument "no difference in the two parties"

Here's also an issue: Dems start every election 2-3 points behind, b/c the right wing base is always more energized. In reality, there are more of them than Democrats as a result. It also boils down to this: When you get several miles outside any major or medium sized city, the whole population politically turns from blue to red. Take care, man.
