Because they aren't dogs, they're hyenas?

@johnbradley6812 And a change to adapt to changes in the environment is causes by genetics, so you both proved my point AND contradicted yourself.

@tropickman "They hunted mankind for 100,000's of years, and not only in Africa, but Europe, Asia & N. America." Name me one predator that HASN'T hunted humans throughout history.

Lion King isn't a documentary. Maybe read up on hyenas, then you'll see what they're actually like.
2
@vipperyipper Did you not read the part where I said I get my information from people who study hyenas? And no: bears and walruses aren't dogs, but they are in the sub-order Caniformia. Like how hyenas are in the sub-order Feliformia.
2
@Titus-as-the-Roman Lots of predators are cannibals. Your point is?
2
Why? Just because you're a nature-hating snowflake?
1
@malourocha9211 Never seem a hyena researcher call them cowardly.
1
@codguy12 Hyenas can’t be tamed.
1
Yes, that's what "evolution" means: an animal changing to adapt to its environment
1
@johnbradley6812 Bruh, evolution isn’t like Pokemon.
1
@oliverm7138 Grey wolves are proper wolves.
1
@Kuhmuhnistische_Partei We need to reintroduce hyenas to Europe.
1
@Fisch_Von_Schnöggenheimer You were lied to by the person who told you they are canines.
1
@Fisch_Von_Schnöggenheimer "ask literally anyone on earth" Exluding those who have good knowledge on hyenas, I take it?
1
@vipperyipper I get my information from people who study hyenas in the wild, which means the information I get is 100% true. I'm pretty sure researchers generally know most things about the very thing(s) they study (not sure why you think they don't). Taxonomy for hyenas: Kingdom: Animalia Phylum: Chordata Class: Mammalia Order: Carnivora Suborder: Feliformia Infraorder: Vivveroidea Superfamily: Herpestoidea Family: Hyaenidae It also says on the Ngorongoro Crater Hyena Project's website that hyenas are more closely related to cats than dogs, which proves that that is the case.
1
Taxonomy isn't based just on appearances, but also on genetics.
1
Thanks for telling everyone in this comments section that you don't about the ecosystem.
1
@mdd1963 Tell me: why do you want to mess up the African ecosystem?
1
Ask ANY hyena researcher. They'll tell you they're more closely related to cats than to dogs, which proves it's a true fact rather than something some random guy on the internet made up. Hyena researchers (such as the MSU Hyena Project and the Ngorongoro Crater Hyena Project) study hyenas, which means they know most things about them.
1
OK, then, here's the taxonomy for hyenas: Kingdom: Animalia Phylum: Chordata Class: Mammalia Order: Carnivora Suborder: Feliformia Infraorder: Viverroidea Superfamily: Herpestoidea Family: Hyaenidae No one said they ARE cats, just that they're more closely related to cats than they are to dogs.
1
The fact that the people who talk about evolution are researchers means it's 100% true. Researchers don't just make stuff up, their information comes from their own research.
1
I trust information from hyena researchers, and they say hyenas are more closely related to cats and dog. Why do I trust the researchers, you might ask? Because they actually study the animals rather than just looking stuff up online.
1
Why hate an animal just for trying to survive?
1
Why not tell that to every biologist/zoologist out there (The people who base all their information on decades of research), then?
