  1. Exactly. If you purchased every property in the entire UK as BTL you could justify by pointing out the huge demand for rental property. It is a stupid argument, but the landlords believe it.

"Being denied a platform to speak is not the same as being persecuted for your views" - no, it isn't literally, but it is a definite step on the road to it - you will not have the latter without the former. This is not just a slippery slope fallacy - denying people the right to speak in recognised forums is a fundamental building block of that persecution.
