Like an animal that's got caught in quicksand, they slowly sink, and the more they talk, the quicker they sink.

@antebekavac225 being a straight A student was unrealistic when she was not naturally academic. They should have supported her in following a career that best suited her talents and abilities rather than setting unreasonable expectations that eventually broke her. I'm not claiming that she is a victim - most people avoid murdering their parents, but it clearly contributed.

@michaelzomsuv3631 - no he was clearly talking about their car in pejorative way. I see you were on another thread desperately defending the murderer.

@acidicali7776 - i don't think anyone has ever gone after a defendant on the grounds of lying under oath. Perhaps there are exceptions for it.

"And he never said the safe word"...it might not have worked, and would still have resulted in prison most likely, but could have worked

I heard the police say that they always knew they had the guilty person when they ask for a lawyer

@tracyhaverstick5672 - thanks for the reply. Very interesting. Will follow up on that case you mentioned.

@tracyhaverstick5672 👍

@majestic-domination - a push gone wrong? He wasn't standing next to a fucking cliff. The guy was telling at his girlfriend - no wonder he got pushed out if the way. Someone who teaches for the gun at an unarmed opponent is nothing more than a coward.
2
@Carnage_FGC - and it turns out that shooting a man calmly in the chest at point blank range is also lethal.
2
@michaelzomsuv3631 - he fell hard, but it wasn't a fatal push by definition. Therefore using lethal force in retaliation is completely inappropriate.

@WUTaNIGGAiAM I think they had suspicions and they just grew and grew.

I don't know where this is going to end up being about a third of the way in, but she could have had a reasonable self-defence claim being a victim of domestic abuse or admitted to drinking heavily and it was a kinky game gone wrong and she just passed out while he was in the suitcase. Although I guess the videos would have still got her.

I find it particularly fascinating

Every criminal does that when giving evidence. Given the consequences of being found out, calling out the name of a bronze age Mediterranean God is not that big a deal v

@lilsawsage - in the UK there are two parent teacher meetings a year
1
@lilsawsage - different countries, different systems, I guess. I think it's a good idea for the parents to hear directly from the teachers.

But also want to be proud of their children in their community
1
@starcherry6814 - I believe that it is still one of the more popular jobs.

Had he told the truth straight away and even phone 9/11 from the car, he would have been in a lot less trouble, particularly because he destroyed and concealed the body. He might even have got away with a manslaughter charge if he had told a plausible story, so perhaps justice was better done as a result of his lies and actions.
1
@refinnej5302 - it was in respect for a true crime thing on television. It was more that they knew they had the right person when they asked for a lawyer, after the hours of questions.
1
@tracyhaverstick5672 - but that's the moment they know they have the right person and the guilty person knows that the police have the evidence.
1
@BoopSnoot - their thinking is that if you are innocent you will be happy to help the police, but if you don't, it sounds like you are guilty. Ironically, by trying to persuade the police of their innocence, they provide evidence of their guilt.

They should have charged him with murder, but I guess that might have been too hard to make stick.

It may have been the air in his lungs coming out when she did some CPR

As the poet Phillip Larkin said, "they fuck you up, your mum and dad."

Anyone who wakes up at 4am to work out is clearly sociopathic

Even if he hadn't said a word from the beginning, they would have still got him, but he just made there job a lot easier.
