And this is why no one takes MAGA loons seriously - on the one hand we have very good evidence that Trump tried to overthrow the election and on the other none that Biden did. But that doesn't matter for the loons, because they are blind to Trump's wrongdoing, and incredibly creative when it comes to Biden's zero wrongdoing.

  5.  @1987BillyBob  because he's been charged with conspiracy to interfere with an official proceeding. Given that interference was in relation to an election result, it amounts to the same thing. However, they didn't feel that insurrection would be that easy to convict him on, but as he clearly gave "aid or comfort" to those involved in it, the lack of a charge in this area doesn't matter too much. But I agree, it would be neater if he had been convicted of such a charge already.

  11. The very fact that this audit is occurring is bizarre - why would a QAnon leaning group be allowed anywhere near the ballots and have anything worth listening to? The result when it comes will not be confirmation of the current result - it will say something about the result being in doubt. This will embolden the Trump fanatics who will taking it as proof that the election was stolen and provide them with all they need to try to commit further insurrection.

  12.  @emwZEEK  - true, but these days, there's almost nothing on earth that can't be compared to Hitler or the Nazis. I just wonder who the anti-maskers in 1918/19 compared the rules to? And to compare being asked to wear a mask to stop the spread of a deadly disease is not quite the same as sending innocent people to gas chambers, although I can see how some might be confused.

  14.  @kimbelsimpson7535  - while evolution is demonstrable we do not yet know the exact reasons behind the emergence of the first life, but we can see all the building blocks coming together, from amino acids and RNA. I see it as chemical compounds taking on ever more characteristics of life until we get to the simplest life forms, after which evolution takes over - no need for any supernatural being to get involved. You can believe that a deity was behind it, but there is no evidence for one, but there is a perfectly rational explanation for life without one. But even if we accepted a deity, the question is which one of the many that are worshipped?

For the second shooting, the guy with the gun would also have had a valid self-defense claim if it had been him that had shot KR rather than the other way round.

However, I am not sure if this is necessary, except for those with other serious conditions, particularly given that the adult population has been vaccinated. My daughter is 17, and will get vaccinated shortly, but I wouldn't deny any child access to education because they haven't been vaccinated.

  43. Nobody genuinely believes in election interference apart from conspiracy theorists who believe whatever Trump says. And that is possibly the advantage - it won't be Biden as winner but too many people scared of the lies, deceit and authoritarianism that Trump offers. Trump is possibly the only living person who could lose to Biden.

  45.  @mph650  - I don't think that there's anything to suggest that Biden's judgement is seriously impaired, even if he is slowing with age. And the slips that he has made pale into comparison compared to the things Trump has said. If you are no longer capable of distinguishing Nikki Hayley and Nancy Pelosi, you are in a serious state of mental decline. There is no evidence that Biden is on drugs in the way suggested by Trump and naturally echoed by Fox. That has as much veracity as trump's groundless accusations of election fraud, which water likewise successfully echoes by the right wing media.
