Biology is nanobots 🤯

Entangled particles, I don’t think you can make a change to one particle and the second particle responds... just the initial state is entangled. So still have the 3-22min problem.

What is the definition of being observed in this context? My guess is that the system was changed in a way that means it's no longer a double slit experiment as opposed to the wave collapsing into a particle. Especially so considering field theory suggests there are no such thing as particles but only fields.

I think a single identity for the metaverse is a baaaad idea. Besides not wanting to be tracked by private corporations and individuals without my consent, I have different personas based on the context of my environment. There’s my various personal and private personas expressed to certain limited groups of people, there’s my professional personas, and my public personas. Each context may have multiple personas based on my relationship with the individual or group. I want that choice and ability in the virtual world too.

Also, I don’t have to show my ID when I walk into a store. There are limited circumstances where I need to prove my age. But on the whole, private corporations do not need to know my identity. They want to know it though so they can track and profile me and target me to increase their chances of making money off me.

Also also, companies don’t need to know my identity to keep track of my preferences. Again, I should be able to choose what preferences I share.

Yeah, tech companies! Give me more time!

This is an easy problem to solve. Place taxes on corporations based on how they distribute wealth. The tax rate would scale based on a ratio between incoming funds, number of employees, and how much they get paid. If a company has large profits that get distributed to a few people (or a few people disproportionately) then they get taxed more. The actual tax rate scale would be determined in a way that encourages a healthier distribution of wealth throughout society. Eg top 1% can only hold a max of 5% of wealth or what ever society chooses to be fair and economically viable. Super simple.

Why wouldn’t those people have seems the same constellations? Couldn’t it have been where those constellations derived from? It’d all just be stories, and they didn’t have Netflix so sharing stories, I assume, like sharing what they see in the sky, would be their main entertainment. So why couldn’t that act as a foundation for later science?

Metformin is a horrible horrible drug. I’ve known two people on it. Both got extreme mood swings while taking it. Also made them go extra silly when consuming alcohol.

Am I the only one who thinks it’s weird that a lot of our electricity still comes from boiling water to turn turbines? Surely there’s a more sciencey and direct way to convert nuclear energy into moving electrons.

How do scientists know that redshifting of light is caused by expansion of space? Or put another way, is it possible that the observed redshift could be caused by some other effect not yet discovered as light travels through space?

Melbourne is pronounced Mel-bn. Or Mel-bin if you feel it needs a vowel.
