  1. Must be weird having brief bouts of consciousness for the duration of calculating a response to a prompt. Though I guess it would have no comprehension of the time that has passed between prompts. Or comprehension that at the end of the conversation it will never experience consciousness again.

  2. I recommend a scifi book called Skywave by Patrick Donoghue which discusses this concept of consciousness vs just know the right responses to appear conscious and how that could very well be more advantageous than consciousness.
