Another flaw of the simulation hypothesis is the assumption that we can simulate a human consciousness with less resources than a human being. Likewise that we can simulate a universe with less resources than is in the universe. For this reason alone, I think the hypothesis is wrong. Any simulation will always be magnitudes less detailed and accurate than the universe it is run in.
