  1. This is why so many countries are introducing sovereign chip legislation. The actual tech is locked behind patents, closely held institutionalised knowledge, and extremely complex and lengthy processes that are expensive to replicate. It takes a year or more to create the mirrors need in the photolithography machines. So I assume most countries will be creating older tech from older lithography machines.
