As far as script writing goes, there’s a certain...panache that one has to have; I’m not saying I’d try to pull a Kubrick or anything, but there’s an art to scripts...like good barbecue. I like fiction writing much more, though I’m no better there 😂😂😂😂

  19.  @renaissanceredneck73  I’m not as familiar with Pryor or Bruce, but I know them to be comedic legends, standing tall amongst the pantheon of comedians. I’d also like to point out that, while he wasn’t a comedian Larry Flynt did a great job fighting to free speech from censorship. Again, not a comedian, but a free speech warrior.

  20.  @renaissanceredneck73  I didn’t care so much for Larry’s politics at times, same for Carlin’s, but they were big free speech advocates which is what mattered to me. I’ll check out the album you mentioned when I get time. I’m always looking for a good laugh

YouTube allows videos about Manson, Mengele, Amin, and the current Ayatollah of Iran, (all of these guys are WAY worse than Carlin’s little rants); if those other guys can get dedicated videos, I don’t see why Carlin wouldn’t or shouldn’t be able to get one. I think it all comes down to: does Simon want to listen to the FANS, or nancy-out.

I’ll keep asking, I’ve committed to the idea, and I want it. Could I come up with and produce my own feature length doc? Probably...if I had the requisite skills, equipment, and budget to do so. Glad you’re on board enough with the idea to comment, all the engagement helps.

I’m not screaming and shouting and trying to bully Simon and his writers into anything; I’m not threatening anyone, I’m not guilting anyone into anything...I’m simply requesting something that (it seems) a lot of other people want to see. Just cause you think I’m “being obsessive”, doesn’t mean other people see it that way. IF I were to be obsessive, I’d simply copy/paste the same comment on ALL of Simon’s Biographics videos; starting from the very beginning of the channel. I’ve yet to do that, and at this current moment I have no plans to do that.

It’s not like I’m Larry Flynt going up against Jerry Falwell 😂. In all seriousness though, the people running Simon’s behind the scenes work could conceivably do a brilliant job on a Carlin and still include all the profanity necessary. With or without a language warning. BB, CasCrim, Decoding the Unknown, those channels have plenty of Simon’s profanity, and he does fine I’m sure. I’d be happy to concede to a content warning for the video if that’s the only way it could be aired. I agree with you 100%, censorship is disgusting.

  48.  @DUTCHESSMD  no shame in getting things confused lol. Most people in the world are more familiar with Ringo anyway so it follows that most people would associate him with Thomas. It is factual though that Carlin narrated the 3rd and 4th seasons of Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends. He also did so on recordings of the 1st and 2nd seasons after Ringo left.
