  1. @HTDoubleU don’t know what that would have to do with anything. Furthermore, I don’t think he was. I would say, like many others likely would, that he, Carlin, was a Carlinist. While definitely discussing topics through a “class struggle” lens, which is a Marxist ideal, Carlin didn’t espouse a support for communism in general; and I would contend that he, if not a “Carlinist”, was a Realist-Capitalist. After all, he would not have done large scale entertainment for free. Again, even if Carlin was a communist, why should that disqualify him from getting a video? Che Guevara got a video and he was a communist, I imagine Lenin and Stalin got videos as well, and they were communists. Why should political affiliation or alleged affiliation disqualify someone important like Carlin from getting a video?

  19.  @debbylou5729  I guess it really falls to the listener to decide whether they want full truth from their comic show, or not. Not to mention, Carlin was a pretty rabid anti-government, and anti-Rightist comedian; so false statements about those two things were likely to be part and parcel.

  43.  @Styxswimmer  Carlin was definitely that. He was also a person who understood those problems and realized that not all of them were problems that could be solved. He wasn’t always a borderline nihilist Nostradamus though. He always voice acted in a popular children’s show. Thomas the Train, (if I remember correctly).

  47. Just throwing this out here Simon...you should do a video on Sergei Mosin. Or a mega project on the 3-line rifle/Mosin-Nagant! While not “mega” in terms of size, the rifle was produced in truly “mega” numbers; AND it is still in use today! Please make it happen Captain.

  48.  @giselematthews7949  I’ve listened to a lot of his comedy routines, mainly by watching the specials that are included on HBO or Tubi. Further, your statement is wholly inaccurate. Not everyone “knows who Carlin is...” that’s statistically impossible. Just because you, myself, and the people who have liked my comments over the past few months know who Carlin is; doesn’t mean EVERYONE does. A majority of people know who Robin Williams was, but that didn’t stop HIM from getting a video, now did it? Same with George Washington, Robert E. Lee, Ulysses S. Grant, and many others.
