  25. The second a officer seizes(takes)a gun from a citizen that is a seizure the second they run the serial number that is a search . If it is on the citizen that's a search of their person and effects,if they take it from their car/vehicle it is a search and seizure of their effects both their gun and vehicle/car are their effects protected under the 4th amendment warrant clause(person)(effects). If they have no legal lawful search warrant then it is a illegal unconstitutional search and seizure.
