You'd have to have a pretty low standard for good for those two to make the cut. Regardless, they are highly debatable. I love star wars, because of its potential and its great moments, but it is a franchise that rarely meets its potential.

The narrative that the muscular female character is trans started on 4chan because they think Naughty dog cares more about being trans friendly than making a good game, which is obviously ridiculous.

It wasn't about providing context for the bite itself, it was about showing why it mattered to Ellie that her being bitten leads to a cure. It's about providing context for the ending, where Ellie asks Joel if he is telling the truth and how she lost a friend. Before the main game was released there was a comic series released that showed Ellie arriving at the military school, meeting Riley, them sneaking out to the mall and meeting the old guy who lives in the tent where they drink the liquor in the DlC. The old guy has a horse and teaches Ellie how to ride it, that's why she already knows how to ride a horse in the main game. All of that story and context was planned before the main game was released, the character of Riley and Ellie Being a lesbian was already cannon when we all played the first game. It wasn't added afterwards and it most certainly wasn't unnecessary.

The guy in this video only has a problem with the dlc because he thinks it made Ellie gay for some agenda because he, like his audience are against any form of LGBTQ inclusion in videogames and will say anything to justify that it's forced. Unfortunately the gaming community has a very vocal core of people who are bigoted and think feminists and trans people are bad and will ruin videogames or something. They circle jerk each other on 4chan and keep reactionary conservative channels like this alive. Best to just ignore them and listen to reviewers or friends you trust for gaming information, or just buy the game for yourself and judge.

It's a shame there is so much pushback in the gaming community, but that is to be expected I guess. Those of us who actually enjoy seeing diverse and different stories from points of view that aren't just white guys with shaved heads just need to not engage with the toxic people in the community and keep supporting games that we believe in. Gaming doesn't belong to anyone.
