  1.  @lukelucky1311  No you absolute numpty, what he is doing to the post office now is destroying a government service written into the constitution as an essential part of the democracy. That would be impeachable. He's gutting it. I'm not saying he is responsible for the 2006 law, but he is using the results of that law as an excuse to not save the post office. If you want to have a conversation then you need to actually read what other people wrote.

So the Republicans can save money on social security and give it to military spending or whichever billionaire they're simping for that month, and the post office looks like it isn't profitable and they can try and privatize it. It's pretty smart, a win win for them. Not so much the American people.

  21.  @Threecrazydogs63    2000 years ago is irrelevant. You're pretending thousands of years of historical events are connected when they are not. It has not been going on for centuries, the country in question was created in 1948 and the colonization began then and everything that followed was connected to and because of that. Historical events that happened in the previous centuries don't really have anything to do with that. This problem starts and ends with colonialism and it started in 48. Bringing up irrelevant history from thousands of years ago is just muddying the waters. All land has changed hands over thousand year periods, no duh, that's how time works. But THIS conflict only started within the last hundred years and it's a problem because one group of mostly European people moved to someone else's land where families had lived for generations and created a country and began colonizing and oppressing the indigenous.

But apparently you don't have any issue with the atrocities that have been carried out on thousands of civilians and children since then, otherwise you wouldn't be willing to pretend they haven't occurred. You also probably don't have an issue with the illegal occupation or the settlements on other people's land or the violence from the colonizers in those settlements. You can pretend you're on the right side of history but you're not, the world will not remember it that way.

Please, as an expert in history I'd love to hear how war crimes and colonialism are justified because of ancient history from thousands of years ago. I'm always open to being educated by my elders and experts. Is that what being immature means? Because I would think being close minded, lacking critical thinking skills and the ability to provide a coherent counter argument is a sign of immaturity but maybe I'm wrong. Always happy to be wrong, especially if you are happy to explain why you are right.
