Sounds like conservatives need to start taking some personal responsibility.

You think he's wrong? Everything he said is true.
1
Their ancestors should have gone to Normandy, they'd be better off.
1
Define left wing
1
If he got a second term then he would have spent over an entire year, 365 days of his presidency playing golf.
1
He's committed dozens of other crimes, he'll go down eventually.
1
You think his staff write these? The staff that famously try to get him to tweet less?
1
Can you point to one specific example of him being destroyed?
1
@TruFight1 I'm curious, can you define left wing? You claim he's parroting talking points but I've been on the left for nearly a decade now, those aren't surface level talking points that the left uses, don't know where you're getting that idea from.
1
All his policies are unpopular with the majority of Americans...
1
Please stop misusing the word triggered. It doesn't mean to get angry or upset, it means something has triggered a traumatic memory or feeling. It's a very specific psychological term. Words have meaning. Just because people on the right are too stupid to Google words and use them correctly doesn't mean we have to be as well. You're literally making your audience dumber every time you misuse that word and they parrot it back.
1
Wtf are you talking about?
1
This should be shared around. Mail in voting and absentee voting are essentially the same thing. #davidpakman #podcast

You're kidding right?
1
@HFMudd Sanders ideas aren't far left you idiot, they're barely left of center. Joe Biden is as far from a communist as one can be. Do you even know what Communism is and what it's goals are? Could you explain it to me?
1
I apologise for calling you an idiot, that was wrong of me. But I would very much like to hear your understanding of what Communism is.
1
@HFMudd China isn't a true communist country, despite calling itself one. Much like the Nazis weren't socialist despite being called the National socialist workers party or whatever. You didn't explain what Communism is or what it's goals are, so I'll assume you don't actually know. Capitalism does not offer equal opportunity to everyone, that's a capitalist lie. Capitalism benefits those with capital and those who work will likely work until they die, no matter how hard they work. You need money to make money. Also PC culture doesn't infringe on free speech, that's more of a right wing thing. You can say whatever you want but if you are using slurs that are hurtful to marginalized groups then those of us who care about those groups will ask you not to. How old are you? Where are you getting your ideological views from?
1
@HFMudd so we should just toil as wage slaves under capitalism until we die? I'm an Anarcho-communist myself, you should look into it. The power is held by the people collectively and with no state or police to enforce their will it makes it hard for a strong man to rise to the top, because the collective holds far more power. It's idealistic but I believe in striving for a better world rather than accepting the misery of living in the current one. I think you've bought into a lot of lies about leftists, our ultimate goal is to end class struggle and unnecessary misery. We live in a world that produces far more food than we need to feed everyone and where there are more empty homes than homeless. Scarcity is manufactured for profit. Capitalism is the root cause of most of the misery in this world. We should strive for something better.
1
@HFMudd What do you mean if the herd takes a dislike? It's based on the belief that everyone should have what they need to live and the means of production is owned and controlled by everyone. We could do this currently with the resources and technology we currently have, but some people want to have far more than they need and don't care that others have to suffer for them to have it. How does a strongman rise to power in a society where there is no private property (which is different from personal property) and everyone has their basic needs met? Anarchism is opposed to all unjust hierarchies, so if a strong leader is motivated by selfish gain then they can't justify them being above anyone else. What would you suggest to fix all the misery in the world?
1
@HFMudd I disagree that human nature is to be inherently selfish, I think most people want everyone else to be okay. Selfishness is cultivated by the culture of capitalism and individualism. We crave community and thrive in it, but we are intentionally divided by those with power. Because they know that if everyone shared a common goal of mutual benefit then they would no longer be able to hold onto their power and control us. I personally don't believe that human beings are simple enough creatures to be easily catagorized into groups like alpha and beta ECT. Donald Trump would never have become president unless he has been born rich. We don't live in a meritocracy. Hard work and determination are not enough to succeed, there are so many other factors. You seem to believe that human beings are selfish and cruel as their base nature but that's not true. That is something that we learn by being subjecated by others. We are creatures that crave community and those who have no community will become desperate enough to join a community that is based on hate and nonsense, eg. Incels and the like. There doesn't need to be reeducation camps or purges of the populace. The only people who need to be removed through violence are those who hold dominion over us, the rich. And only if necessary. I'm not someone who is advocating for a violent revolution but those with power are happy to employ violence to keep their power so we may have no other choice. Fascism doesn't arise naturally, it requires a scapegoat to blame for any of society's shortcomings, like immigrants or Jews. It is based on a lie that we can't all work together for the common good.
1
@HFMudd The majority are far stronger than the minority. If class consciousness is raised and the working class realize that they all have the same goals and are being oppressed by owner class then they can overthrow them. 9 people with a shared goal can't be beaten by a single person who is against them. A society where the primary goal is to look after everyone within that society and treats everyone equally doesn't leave room for individuals to rise up. What do those individuals have to offer if everyone's basic needs are already met? Authoritarian regimes rise to power because they convince the populace that if they have the power then the populace will have enough to live happily and peacefully. If the populace already has everything they need to live then they won't be inclined to follow a leader, because they already possess everything they need. Socialism and communism are demonized by capitalists because they are a threat to their power. A collective is more powerful than an individual. Without scarcity human beings naturally do what is best for the community. A society built on this principal is not easily overcome. Everyone secretly wants to live in a society without money where robots do all the menial labor and we are free to live as we wish. We've just been convinced that this isn't possible.
1
@HFMudd sure thing, I need some sleep anyway. Just reply when you want to continue.
1
@HFMudd No I'm from New Zealand. I watch a lot of us media and most of the YouTubers I follow are US based. I'm a film student so Western media is a key interest of mine. But I grew up poor, conservative Christian family and I have struggled with depression and anxiety my entire adolescent and adult life. I'm also a burner, I attend burning man events. Most of those things are probably the context for my leftist beliefs. Plus having to be responsible for my two younger siblings who are both queer, so we had to hide a lot of who we are from our mother and family.
1
Love your stuff David. You should go see a hairdresser though. A good one. For you, for me, for everyone. Keep up the good work.
1
There are more people outside his circle than inside, he'd lose the civil war. 90% of the people who are skilled enough to run a country would be against him.
1
No?

There is no tangible evidence that people who get the virus get immunity, many people are getting reinfected. They're also findings that children infected with the virus are suffering liver, kidney, and other organ damage, not just they're lungs. Plus there's all the elderly and immunocompromised people who will continue to get infected and die... Not really a good spin on this.
1
@shlockofgod Unfortunately due to how badly it's been handled I think America is screwed either way. The lockdown was half assed and the lack of testing didn't help, now with 80,000 dead and climbing the country is trying to reopen and even more people will get sick or be fired for not working. America has done worse than any other country at handling this, countries with twice the population are doing better and countries like Vietnam and New Zealand are doing great, they're restarting their economy with less than a hundred deaths and under ten new infections per day. America is in a very bad position and in all likelihood won't be a global superpower for much longer.
1
@shlockofgod Haha what political agenda? America has done an objectively bad job of handling this, you would not at all be in the same situation if the lockdown had been better coordinated. It's not an inevitability that most people would get infected or everywhere else wouldn't be recovering faster despite getting hit later. It isn't just going to go away like the president says, and the economy is going to struggle to recover. Funeral homes and grave diggers will be making a lot though. I hope I'm wrong for the sake of the everyday people who are losing family and friends, as well as the millions of unemployed. But all signs point to this getting worse, not better.

God you're dense. Enjoy your failed state.

What are you talking about? You know it's 2020 right? Why are you talking about Hillary?

What the fuck is that clicking at the beginning? I'm assuming it's on Tim's end.

Because he's a pathetic dumb fuck.
1
David, you're really misusing the term triggered here. Triggered is used when talking about trauma. Certain things are triggers for trauma, such as people yelling being a trigger for childhood abuse. It doesn't mean getting angry or making someone angry, it's a term used when talking about the activation of trauma. I'm sure Donald Trump has a lot of trauma somewhere deep inside but in this context you are completely misusing the word and it doesn't look good. I know it's a word that has been used by the right against left wing people in discourse but it was originally coined by psychologists doing important work to help victims of trauma understand and cope with what they've been through. I know people on the right get angry when new words are invented, but there's no need for you to misuse them as well. Be like Obi-wan, take the high ground.
1
Democracy? In Feudal America? That's pretty funny.
1
Crime is caused by poverty, not much the mayor can do to stop that short of investing in schools, drug rehabilitation, and other programs that help people who are starving and have few options for income other than stealing, selling drugs or joining a gang. Sending in another gang that is government funded does nothing but escalate the violence. Police don't prevent crime. They police it. Your current system of law enforcement exists to create slaves to work in private prisons and must become violent to survive, who will have very little chance of getting a real job after prison and will most likely be a criminal for life, which is the goal. To have a steady flow of prisoners who are forced to do unpaid labor while the government pays these companies millions to house their slaves. Your prison industrial complex is LITERAL slavery.
1
How is he stupid? Where is the lie?
1
Shawn Edwards so you're voting for the orange man?
1
@divemasterjim You believe in Qanon as well huh?
1
Why does America insist on debating things the rest of the world figured out years ago?
1
@sovietsandvich8443 You pay 300% more than you should for insulin. That's pretty easy to measure. Believing the free market will do anything other than help those who run the market is a ridiculous, America is a third world country that thinks it's the greatest.
1
@sovietsandvich8443 Or we could stop pretending capitalism is anything other than an unjust system that serves very few by design and will always fail in the end. We have enough resources to house and feed everyone, we just don't. Pointless conversations about economics won't solve anything, you can't fix a system that is designed off the exploitation of others.
