Ian, for President Macron to have even uttered the word of French troops on the ground in Ukraine is like the arch angel Gabriele telling an illiterate merchant called Mohammad that there will be no peace without Islam covering the world. No; I take that back because I think Gabriele did say that... Seriously folks, what Macron's statement says to me is that the French Intelligence Service probably whispered in their boss's ear that if we don't go and help Ukraine now, and I mean before the next winter sets in, Russia's military buildup will have expanded to the point to be able to wipe out all of NATO forces. This is Macron's moment of change; he is going to become a great war president if Russia's Putin fights on...
