You look worried, Ian, and that makes me think that if you're thinking what I'm thinking then we are on the same wavelength about the totally inexplicable Trump ascention in winning 15 states for the Republican party in the 2024 Presidential race. Here's my two cents on why former President Trump is so adamant about winning. I have sent this comment twice already. Former President Donald John Trump is taking a page out of the LBJ playbook, wouldn't you say? In 1963 Bobby Baker and Billy Estes were about to sing like canaries if they got jail time unless Johnson could use the DOJ to give them their walking papers and have his criminal background disappear. Experts on the four corners of the globe all have their own version of the facts, but from what I have read and heard that is why JFK never made it to re-election. Trump will be able to overturn his conviction and the 91 legal bumps if he wins in November. As a winner, he'll be able to use the DOJ---and you can bet that former AG Barr will write another 17-page letter propositioning for the coveted post in Trump's second Administration. I make no bones about it when I say Trump is back on the stump but not entirely running for President to make America Great again, he's running to make himself safe again.
