You do an excellent analysis; I would hold back on using so many pictures of the Russian Leader and President Zelensky to make your point. The Kerch Strait Bridge will be used for a checkmate-style military operation in my point of view. It will be blown when it will do the most damage to morale on the invading forces and to cut the juglar vein of supply lines when it is time.

Poland and the Ukraine have not fallen out; it's a necessary pause after 576 days of a war. Poland has shown itself as an example of the highest humanitarian causes. Literally thousands of Ukrainian refugees were welcomed into Polish homes with hesitation. Where in the world does another country with a heart as big as the moon exist? The big picture: What Poland's top officials see that if they are not number one in defensive weapons and military personnel, they could be the next on Russia's take-over-forever list. Ukraine has a friend in Poland and there are more than 50 countries helping Ukraine that will pick up the slack. What all of us have to concentrate on is helping Ukraine take back Crimea, because when this happens Putin's house of cards fall and his military fizzles and dies.

Italy is not in crisis because the Italian people know their society better than anyone looking into it and criticizing it. It's an incredibly challenging country to govern because it has such diversity on every imagineable scale. A country is like a person at times and sometimes you do things like fasting so that later on your body can recover and be in good heatlh.

In times of war there is scant evidence that sanctions have any effect, so why use them? I think that diplomats need diplomatic tools to show their displeasure at their opposing sparring partners and sanctions are a politician's way of saying "stop, you are wrong. You are breaking international law". Diplomats can't send a tank over to the opposing side or have a gun ship spray them with machine gun fire. With the sanctions they are saying to the international community that such and such country has committed a serious error. Everyone knows they are mainly symbolic and when they don't work, then countires send arms or weapons and the sanctions take a different form; they become boots othe ground on the battlefield.

As an outsider looking over from a European country next to Italy, what I think the British need to do is the following: Face up to the fact that BREXIT has caused more pain than gain. Accept it and then move on. Get Britain up-to-speed on every single issue that has been either improved on or the opposite, until every single business across the board is doing as good or better than it was when it was a part of the EU. Here is where I know many will not agree with me, but when Britain has attained a good level of prosperity i.e., people are more or less content with the way things are going, then and only then vote to re-join the EU. Why do I think this is a good plan? Because BREXIT has been controversial to say the least and it has not made a conscensus among most British people that it was a wise thing to do, but it has happened and if anybody can turn a sour deal into a sweet one, it's the British. Also, when things are running smoothly, to go back in the EU will mean that Britain has had a chance to have made a compete makeove from A to Z i.e., to put its house in order. This way Britain will come back into the EU as a dynamic force for the good with fresh ideas and positive energy.

Elder statesmen like Xi have the edge because of decades more experience than the younger Macron, but they are fools if they think younger people don't see the tricks and faux sincerity that older people think they are getting away with. Politics is all about trying to think what the other president thinks you are going to do and then do it to make him think he knows how you operate...
