  1. What we are all forgetting is what contact with any extraterrestrial beings would mean for world peace. Does anyone realize that if humanity is able to get access to an extraterrestrial race of beings, it would altogether change the way the superpowers deal with each other. It would make us a united Earth and push us towards having a World Governing Council so we could speak as one voice to visitors from another world. This is why I believe we must unite in our efforts to get some sort of contact with extraterrestrial beings because it would undoubtedly stop the arms race and saber rattling that goes on at this writing. In short, it would stop us annihilating ourselves.
