AI is just fine and we are all going to benefit from it, but what is missing is simply for all new AI developments to follow the example of vaccines. What do I mean by that? Vaccines have to be tested----I know they skipped a few steps in the pandemic----but you know what I mean. A new AI program needs to be field tested and looked at by specialists in every way possible to make sure when it is released to the public, that harmful side effects will be manageable. Vaccines have been tested and yet many, many people suffered horrendous side effects, but nothing is perfect. We are going to see AI go too far or slip through the cracks and the like and we have to accept that there will be times when it is one step ahead of us. I am paraphrasing a lot what Yuval Hariri (please check spelling) mentioned in a speech. He says that what is most concerning is that AI will use language to its advantage if it is not regulated.
