What troubles me is that if he has his back to the wall, he might pull out all the plugs to at least win the conflict. As someone living a few hours by air from the Ukrainian conflict, I can already feel electicity in the air as people are tense at the prospect of a major conflict breaking out on the continent. Mr Mitchell's analysis of Russia becoming China's main client or vice-versa for energy sources shows us that the economics of this over-reach by Putin could be felt in Russia and in Europe and around the world.
