Vlad is a very brave man, a courageous person who fought back from a disabilitating illness to regain a normal life. What I think Prime Minister Boris Johnson may be doing in sticking with the 19 July easing of lockdown conditions is what happened today when 4,200 health professionals wrote a letter condemning his decision. What I think the Prime Minister is doing is showing that he wants to ease restrictions, but if he has to go back on his decision it will be because of the backlash from the health professionals demanding the restrictions stay put. This would get him off the hook of making a flip flop on another health matter. In a way it's damned if he sticks with the decision and damned if he doesn't, because no one knows which way is the best way forward, but 4,200 health professionals make it clear that they think it's too early to go back to normal. I believe it's too early too. But Johnson is right in that sooner or later we've got to live with Covid. All I know is that I am so happy I followed Dr Campbell's advice to get vaccinated, because I would not like to have even one of the known 100 symptoms long-Covid sufferers have had to endure. And the sad thing is that the Delta might not be the last of the variants! If Tim Spector is right and this Covid-19 virus becomes part of the scenery, who's to say a rogue variant might come along and cancel out the effects of the vaccines that have been developed so far?

@jamesdrew9434 Thank you very much! I try to not judge and be neutral in making any kind of judgement on anything. All I can say is that Ivor's analyses are very reassuring and it just goes to show how difficult it is to be a leader of a country right now. What I do is listen to all of the points of view I possibly can and make my own decision based on what I instinctively feel is the right way for me to proceed---in the pandemic, business, etc. What we have to relize, in spite of Ivor's rosy look at the Covid pandemic, is at this very minute people are gasping for breath in Bangladesh and there is a shortage of oxygen. I've never experienced not being able to breathe because of a viral infection, but I can tell you I am glad I have been vaccinated. Let's hop Ivor wins and all this was hype. That will teach us well for the next one!

@loz6441 It's the hardest thing in the world to figure out what to do, but all we know is that by opening up commerce and businesses early, some people are going to paying with their health for the rest of their lives with long-Covid. One woman told me she still can't taste or smell anything months after getting over the Kent variant and that drinking her morning coffee feels to her like she's drinking oil. I've just had lunch and a delicious steak, excellent wine and a sumptuous banana cream pie for desert. I cannot imagine what it must be like to miss all that---and for the rest of my life eat food that tastes the same and a lot like cardboard. But Prime Minister Johnson is right: we have to learn to live with Covid.

@VladVexler We all wish you a full recovery. My only thinking on how to improve one's health for example, is to use visualization. I use the José Silva method-but the caveat of course is that since it's all in our mind, there's no proof it works. Best of luck in all you do-
