Dear DrCampbell, I know I speak for a lot of people when I say how sad we are to hear of the total lockdown of the UK! Can you imagine the lorry drivers, already waiting sometimes up to 9 hours to cross the channel, only to be told when they reach the border that it's closed! It's so unfair and Prime Minister Johnson is getting grilled from every angle and accused of showing poor leadership, but what can anyone do with new, more contageous strain of the virus BUT to keep ameliorating decisions? You can see the pain in his face. He knows every decision he makes will cause lives to be lost and the only thing he is hoping for is that his decisions cause the least amount of casualties. Days before Christmas and it's a hallucinating spectacle in the country I live in with new lockdown measures in place. People walk around like they're sleep walking. The world has come to an uncomfortable, eerie pause, and we only hope that your country will be over this latest economic and health debacle as soon as the danger is over.
