Could the excess deaths be because of the lockdown in that people who normally got some sort of exercise ended up staying home instead? Inactivity adds to increases in eating and drinking and this is harmful enough to have caused many people to die sooner than they should have.

@giespel68 GGGGGGGGGreat to hear from you. Every single thing has had an effect on people with fragile health. The jabs certainly weren't everybody's cup of tea. A former student of mine told me her daughter can die if she eats a peanut! There are 200 side-effects of long-Covid, certainly some of the people who caught the virus had damage done to parts of their body as well.
