It is getting pretty obvious that without a concensus from all countries on immediately banning flights from countries with severe infections, there will be increased infections and mayhem across the world. In neighboring France, the Indian double-helix variant has been detected in 5 patients, so it's on the continent and probably in the UK and Ireland as well. We're lost in the wilderness without a responsible response from our leaders, but for some reason there is only silence from the World Health Organization. We are never going to prevent new infections from the new variants if they don't start banning immediately flights from countries where new outbreaks have been reported. I predict there is never going to be an end to the COVID-19 virus from spiraling out of control, because there is no coherent leadership from any government for controlling the spread of the pandemic, Australia being the only exception.
