  1. To Barabara: don't be afraid of a strong reaction to the vaccine. It is impossible to know what the effect will be so don't start thinking about it because you will only imagine it worse than it ever could be, because to worry and postpone about getting vaccinated only kicks the can down the road. The road is running out of pavement, so do it now. What's so bad about feeling a little bad a day or two at work? You've had the flu and went to work, that's all it will be. Lastly, it's completely appalling that a rogue element in South Africa can get people to riot and burn down their own life-giving services. One is reminded of the 400 white farmers that were murdered, many times in front of their wives and children and the ten year old boy of a farmer that was boiled alive in scalding water. A farmer feeds on average 3,000 people a year; it was senseless violence. Now, once again we see South Africans attacking the Indian population. This must stop. What is in the national character of a people to do such atrocious acts we cannot figure, but we all know wonderful South African people where I live. One of my best friends is a black South African man and so we know how good they can be. But the rogue element must be found out and brought to justice for the terrible pain and suffering and destruction of private property and looting at a time when South Africans are suffering a global pandemic and need all the help they can get.
