  1. At 3:49 into this videocast, it is a pleasure to hear Ray Dalio's comments about Bridgeport, Connecticut and Jordan's broken suburbs where he lives. This is infuriating for me to hear, because I live in a country on other side of the world from you and there seems to be an effort by the government to have no areas that go broke and get broken windows and the like. Right now, old buildings that have collapsed where I live are finally getting repaired, and it feels good, because just looking at dilapidated structures is depressing in its own right. I am an artist and to be brief I wrote a book about an alternative economic model to replace capitalism called teknomix. The book has tanked, but I was hoping that it might spark a revolution in getting us off consumer capitalism because of exactly what both of you are saying. It is absurd for a country like The United States to have one district getting better attention than another. My method is utopic, but it does one thing: it gets everyone on the same page in society. We have to understand that either we all move ahead together or nobody does and nothing in-between should be considered.
