If I could ask Professor Romer a question, I would like to ask him what he thinks of the capitalist system now that 40-year high inflation is upon you in the United States and climbing prices on everything where we live in Europe. Professor Romer, isn't it time to consign consumer capitalism to the history books and get in a system that isn't wealth-accumulation focused? I think you agree that probably some of America's finest minds are going into finance as a career choice only because they can see that running a hedge fund for example almost guarantees billionaire status. We need an economic system that has all the same moving parts, but that is not a pyramid scheme on steroids.
