This is one of lost planet airman Lex Fridman's best interviews. Konstantin Batygin is a great catalyst, but Mars and the Moon must be conquered and made habitable. This is where I believe Musk has his thumb on the pulse. We live on a planet where one madmen could send an atomic missile to Moscow, which in turn would send a missile to New York City and America would in turn send a missile to... Nuclear winter would end our civlization. We've got to have our species alive and well on other worlds. The alleged destruction we possibly see on Mars points to an eerie similar scenerio where atomic war may have decimated that planet and some of its lucky escapees ended up colonizing the Earth. Now it's time to go back and make it a place where our species and others can thrive. It's doable.

@ThatGuy-mt7hq Nice talking to you. Next door in Germany floods that come ever 1,000 years are coming every year it seems. This year honey production critically low. So much rain where we live, but not much you can do about it. What I have seen from mars is troubling to say the least. There are people who look into the photos sent back from the rovers and frankly there are the remnants of intelligently built structures. Do you agree and if so could mars have lost its atmosphere from atomic war?

@likeable antagonist On this of the world things look different. The key to climate change and water is in reducing CO2 to H2O. This cracks two nuts at the same time. The extinction idea is not off the table, but we're still far enough away to have a life. It's time to get worried when the honey bees are no more. The bees are the canary in the gold mine.

@ThatGuy-mt7hq Thanks for the information. I try my best to stay neutral on religion to politics and everything in between. Marvin Gaye wrote in his hit song "I Heard it through the Grapevine". 'Believe half of what you see and none of what you hear.' What is unbelievable is the unusual artifacts on Mars. If only we live long enough for the first expedition to reach Mars!
