Everyone has a right to their point of view. One great vidcast by the late great Ian X. Lungold who studied the Mayan calendars and even made a guide to interpret them himself, was when he said "What is the one thing that you have that no one else in the whole universe has? Your point of view." "He went on to say that even if you want to give your point of view away, no one will accept it." Lex Fridman does a remarkable job in interviewing people and he does it with intelligence and humility and sensitivity. Hard questions can be asked in ways that don't confront the person's integrity and Lex is a master of this style of interviewing. We must go back to the line of the song "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down', by Robbie Robertson from the iconic backup group for Bob Dylan which was simply called 'The Band'. There is a line in the song which says 'Take what you need and leave the rest." Whenever you are criticized, always take what's there that corresponds to you and leave the rest; don't accept what doesn't apply to you. This way you never get depressed when a major star-interviewer or someone you admire levels both barrels at you. If what Joe Rogan says speaks volumes to you, take it. But if it's criticism that may be helpful and you find yourself saying, "Yeah, but that's just not me." Then leave it and go on to believing in yourself even more than before.
