Coming in at 3:23 in your very interesting discussion, what I believe AI will have in terms of consciousness will be nothing like our consciousness. We have to remember that the simplest cell in our body's membrane has 10 to the 78 billion possiblities of combinations and only one works. Ditto with all the components of the cell. The carbohydrates that are on the membrane of the cell are more complex than the RNA and DNA combined in a simple cell. What am I saying here? Actually, I am saying that life is so complex at the molecular level that it is off-the-charts in terms of it happening spontaneously in nature, but besides that, our consciousness comes from quite an extraordinary place. A machine that becomes like an intelligent being will have a consciousness, but it won't resemble ours. You can't make Tandoori chicken without the right ingredients. Machine intelligence will reflect its components: it will therefore be something that is foreign to human consciousness but nonetheless a sort of living synthetic consciousness. It's a theory--
