Dear Mr Fridman and Ms Barrett, Thank you Mr Fridman for your informative videocasts. Thank you Ms Barrett for fleashing out more tantalizing incites into the workings of the human brain. Before one considers the absolute mystery of how intelligence came to be, isn't the real argument about how the first cell came to be? Excuse me, but I must bring up the analysis of how the first cell evolved from Professor James Tour. If Dr Tour is correct, just the outer membrane of a simple yeast cell has 10 to the 78 billion possibilities of combinations for it to work and only one combination works. I am of course paraphrasing, but each element of a cell must be formed at exactly similar circumstances and for it all to happen at just the right time and temperature and then come to life is what stops my clock. How a cell came into being let alone work has left me scratching my head for an answer and I don't see one coming down the pike. Dr Tour has, in effect, swept away any idea I had of a cell happening by chance in the early oceans of planet Earth. But it happened; your're here today talking about intelligence and helping us to somehow try and make sense of it all. Be well -
