Consciousness to me is the wireless connection that results in our brains that you might compare to holograms. If my data is correct the human brain makes 400 decisions per second for us to remain in good health and live our lives to the fullest. Think of 400 decisions in a second and you quickly see that some sort of outside, invisible communication must be necessary for all of the commands that go into the various functions to be carried out. I believe that what we call consciousness is what nature has come up with for lack of a better terminology, a biological control tower in our heads and as a byproduct, there would be that in addition to making all those decisions in a second, the thing we call consciousness would also connects us spontaneously with our emotions, feelings etc. Machines will soon be making 400 decisions per second so it stands to reason they will have some form of a synthetic consciousness, because there is no way we will be able to wire 400 commands in a second in a robot. There will be a synthetic control tower in each sentient robot. The thing that I think we are going to see is that machines will have a consciousness that is machine-made, and this means that it will reflect its components. Our consciousness reflects a living brain. Machines consciousness will reflect cold steel and silicon.

@harmless6813 GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGreat to hear from you. I mean that the human brain sends out 400 commands per second to keep the human body functioning.

@harmless6813 GGGGGGGGGGGGreat to hear from you. We're all trying to get a handle on consciousness. One theory I have is that because our brains have to make so many decisions in a second, consciousness developed as a way to have a control center that could do it in a wireless sort of way and a by product of it was what evolved into our awareness of ourselves being aware. The other idea I have is that consciousness is nothing more than what our brains and all living things' brains tune into. Thanks for the input, it is all I have to say for now...
