If I could reach out across the ocean, I would say Happy New Year to you and your family and to thank you, Sam Harris, and your colleagues of high standards and lofty intellect and with especially fond memories of 'Hitch', whom so many of us miss dearly and who seemed to take the standard idea of debate to a new level and most of all because you really have made this world a better place for all of us. Now; how you can live with yourself for doing that is a mystery---of course----I am kidding----but thanks for your thoughts and ideas and pointing out the sort of details that can make people see through the smoke and mirrors we have been conditioned into thinking is really the way it is. We start this year where we live 2,000 kilometers from Kiev world with President Putin’s charming words ringing in our heads that he is going to pound and punish the Ukrainians harder than ever in 2024.
