  1. General Keane should not say he is not sure if America's committment to come to Taiwan's aid if China attacks is rock solid. Right there and then he just broadcast across the world America as a wavering ally and not an unwavering ally. Words matter; General Keane sounds nervous and unsure of himself and this is exactly the sort of person Washington does not need as a spokesperson at this treacherous time in America's history. When you say you back someone, you do it; you say it loud and clear and you don't waver or wonder out loud if America really means it. It's absolutely appalling to hear General Keane talk this way on global television.
