Ukraine is at war, but it is democracy writ large as former Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, said that will be the real casualty if Russia is not driven back to its borders. People are made to look catastrophe in the eye and find a way to avoid it, otherwise we wouldn't be here today. Crimea is the heart of Russia's hold on Ukraine, if the Ukrainian military rips out the heart and soul of President Putin's invasion of Ukraine and takes back Crimea, the supply routes i.e., the military veins and arteries of the world's second superpower will dry up and fade away. Then and only then will the Russian people take to the streets and return the governance of their country to the people.
