  1. Excellent reporting Palki, you do a very good job and speak in a language the whole world can understand. What we all must do is take a step back and refrain from emotional reporting about the future of Afghanistan. We must not forget that the biggest gift the American and allied forces left for the Afghanis was a taste of freedom; this will not go away. Afghanistan's are going to live un Sharia law and all the trappings that go with the Taliban version of Islam, but don't underestimate a country of 41 million people who are waking up to the fact that they have been bamboozled for generations and now they see soldiers walking in lock-step to customs that are more than 500 years old. You can fool people for a long time with a lot of hype and fear and punishment, but my guess is that the great Afghanistan people will one day take to the streets and take them over whatever the price.
