Neil deGrasse oozes respectability and takes science out the textbooks for all of us to marvel at. Piers, Neil; you & I are probably the last generation that will not live forever. What it looks like---and I am referring to the testimony of scientists like Neil----who say that by 2045 we will be able to achieve immortality. One's life will be able to be extended---indefinitely. This means that history will be putting us in sarcophagus of sorts and we will be like the ancients i.e., classed as a former species of modern humans. It is what is called progress and my boat is moving down river...
