You can help someone too much to the point where they become dependent on you; same with a country. We see children who are 30 years old and still home with mom and dad because it's hard out there. The rents are so high; it's better to stay at home. It has become an epidemic in neighboring Italy. If you pamper and protect a nation it's the same thing; they become psychologically unable to master their own destiny. Hasn't enough American blood been spilt to realize that the enemy in Afghanistan is not the Taliban? The enemy for Afghanistan is to lose faith in their ability to run their own nation. Let's give a bouquet of thanks to America and her allies for a very long and expensive and bloody helping hand. But. The time has come to stand down and let Afghanistan be the master of its own destiny.
