  1. Dear Mr Stossel, Thank you for your videocast on a very interesting topic. The late, great Henry Ford of Model ‘T’ fame said something like. If you think you can or if you think you can’t you're right. I think what the climate deniers have in their quiver are a lot of arrows that fly into the heart of their arguments. Things probably are not out of control. But what is frightening is that this debate is not a Las Vegas crap game. That’s what puts meat on the bones of the climate debate. We have to realize too that young people are not reacting for nothing. Their intuition is spot on. They don’t think; they feel. They can feel that what is going on around them will drive the world to destruction if something isn’t done to change the direction of the world. But the one thing that everyone doesn’t realize is that our running economic model, consumer capitalism, is the culprit. We can try a lot of things to change direction, but nothing will change until there is a new economic system running under the global society’s floorboards. I’m not an economist, but if you don’t change the game plan, you can’t can’t change the direction the world is going in. Forget about sustainable fuels, what is needed to save us from ourselves is a sustainable economic system geared to treat everyone fairly.
