  1. This a tipping point being surpassed, but we should be aware of one thing. CO2 in the atmosphere is the culprit. Renewable energy is the answer--for the future, because there is no way we can cut fossil fuel consumption for decades. The cure is in the malady. I'm not a chemist, but surely converting CO2 into H20 is doable. There needs to be hydrogen in the mix of course, but that's readily available too. Why not get NASA's mars project team bifurcating their activities into solving this problem?
