First, our hearts and prayers go out to the patients with Covid-19 Delta variant in Indonesia and around the world. The front-line health workers look like nuclear-plant personnel with every inch of their bodies protected from the (virus) radiation. What I feel is indignation that this is happening at all. Right from the beginning, the then Vice-President of Taiwan was the first to know the Wuhan virus was deadly, but from then on this was handled very badly. We have the WHO who were not efficient. We have mixed messaging coming from our governments to the people. Worst, we have been attacking the virus as a bunch of nations instead of a one-world centered approach with crisp, clear orders coming from the WHO who are supposed to be looking out for us. All of this suffering. The pandemic is going to be remembered as the Afghanistan of all pandemics. We have lost the battle and it is the poor and uniformed who will pay the highest price. We must unite as one human family and realize that the Covid-19 virus is only the first shot over the bow.
